Billie Jo Joy, Ed.M., R.Y.T., is co-founder, and co–manager of Art & Soul, and owner of JoyYoga. She is Iyengar trained (20 years primarily with Zoe Stewart, Karin Stephan), Kripalu certified (200 hours), Yoga of Energy Flow (500 hours). Her instruction is ornamented with yogic philosophy, experiential anatomy, and poetry. She offers a safe and friendly place for practice that balances strength, flexibility, reflection, and spiritual upliftment. She is well known for her popular gentle and restorative yoga classes and her retreats in Mexico, Italy, and Michigan. Former  faculty at Emerson College and The Boston Conservatory where she taught yoga, movement for actors, and improvisation. Billie Jo is a movement specialist having studied many forms including modern dance, ballroom, ballet, jazz, tap, butoh, continuum, authentic movement, mind-body centering, improvisation, and contact improvisation for over 30 years. Billie Jo has taught people of all ages from infants to elderly, to people with disabilities, in all kinds of settings from day care centers, to college campuses, to corporations, developing original and effective classes for the populations she serves. 

Billie Jo Joy is also an accomplished dancer, choreographer, actor, writer, director, and producer. Her credits include Dust to Dust (2006); Venus De Mini Van, Mothers in the Breakdown Lane (2002) which became the off–broadway play Eve–olution (2004); two highly acclaimed productions of The Vagina Monologues (2000, 2004); Small White Woman Impersonating Martin Luther King, (1999). She toured internationally, with Paula Josa–Jones Performance Works, when the company received two NEA grants. She is a certified teacher of Action Theater, and has studied extensively with the Roy Hart Voice Theater in France. She is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild: The Deer Hunter (1978), Spiderman 2 (2005); Background: Black Mass (2015), Spotlight (2015), Ghostbusters (2016), Stronger (2017), The Discovery (2017), The Burning Woman (2018). She recently was a student at The Groundings School of Improv in LA. Currently, she performs with The Improv Prophets, LaLaLa Improv, works in film, develops new work, and studies clowning with Nose to Nose.

Billie Jo earned a master’s degree in education from Harvard University, specializing in leadership and creativity, which included an intensive study of ethnographic filmmaking. She worked at Harvard in the field of international education development, helping to internationalize the curriculum. As a founding member of Harvard's Project BRIDGES, she helped write and win a $10 million grant from the United States for International Development for projects in 12 developing countries. Later, she worked on Harvard President Rudenstein's Mind, Brain, Behavior Initiative developing innovative undergraduate curriculum that aims to increase mind–body understanding. Johnny Lapham is a working artist, performer and teacher  who creates thriving and inviting spaces for deeply intimate and wildly connected creative expression.  His goal as a teacher is to provide a spirit of safety, focus and an invitation to support fearless creative expression for people of all ages. Lorraine Grosslight, M.Ed., improviser, actor and director, has been teaching since 1989. She is a certified Action Theater teacher and performs with the International Action Theater Ensemble directed by Ruth Zaporah. Lorraine also conducts communication and leadership development workshops for executives and teams through The Ariel Group. She directs the local improv troupe New Tricks and is a member of the Playback troupe True Story Theater. She developed original shows with school children and youth with disabilities through VSA. Former faculty of the Boston Conservatory, Emerson College, New Theater Conservatory; affiliated with the Shantigar Foundation. eate Grieben-Francis has been a teacher for many years, working with young children and their families in a variety of settings. Working and playing with visual arts, story telling, creative movement and music, the leap to yoga came as a natural evolution.  Beate is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and Creative Kids Yoga Teacher and completed a training as therapeutic restorative teacher. She continues her studies of herbs, plants and yoga. She is certified in Aromatherapy. Beate teaches yoga classes for adults, and yoga and movement classes for preschool and school age children. Chris Berlin has taught yogi and Buddhist meditation practices for many years and is also a spiritual counselor dedicated to helping others incorportate a greater sense of well-being and self-awareness into their lives. He has worked as a Buddhist chaplain at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and at Brigham’s and Women’s Hospital where he extensively taught meditation and minfulness to patients in treatment and end-of-life care, as well as to staff and clinicians. Barbara Lyon teaches “Gentle Yoga for 55+ and Beginners” and anyone else wishing for an extremely gentle class. All are welcome, regardless of age, weight, general stiffness or other challenges. Solange Voss  is a highly respected teacher in the Boston yoga world, where she has been teaching for over a decade. Kris Manjapra is a certified teacher in the Iyengar method (Level I/II).  He is also a professor of History, with emphasis on the study of race, colonialism, and diaspora, at Tufts University.

nna Kelchlin is a certified teacher of Iyengar Yoga.
